1099-R Information

The 1099-R Information screen allows you to view information about your 1099-R tax forms. 1099-R forms are the end of year tax forms you receive from your pension fund to file with your income taxes. 1099-Rs can also be viewed, printed, and saved from this screen

To access the 1099-R Information screen, click on the 1099-R option in the menu. The 1099-R Information screen opens.

If you have only one benefit, the screen automatically displays the 1099-R information for that benefit. If you have more than one benefit, the screen displays the 1099-R information for the first benefit you received.

If you have more than one benefit and would like to see information on a benefit that is not currently displayed, click on the benefit displayed next to "Viewing" at the top of the screen. This opens a list of your benefits. Select the benefit you wish to view. The 1099-R information for the selected benefit is then displayed on the screen.

All years are displayed as cards and appear in descending order by year. Each card displays the following information:

• Year - Tax year.
• Status - This will appear as either Original or Corrected. An original 1099-R is the first one issued to you for the tax year. A corrected 1099 is one that was modified in some way making it different from the original (for example, to correct the name or address under which the 1099 was filed).
• Gross Distr - Gross Distribution. This is the amount of reportable income from the benefit you received.
• Taxable Amt - Amount of the Gross Distribution that is taxable.
• Fed Withheld - Amount withheld for federal taxes.
• State Withheld - Amount withheld for state taxes.
• Distr Code - Distribution Code. This is a code that represents the type of distributions you are receiving.
• Employee Contr - Total amount of benefit payments you received on a tax-free basis during the year. (your contributions on which you have already paid taxes).
• Distr % - Distribution Percentage. This field is used on certain types of death benefits to designate the percentage of the total distribution received by each payee.

To view a 1099-R, click anywhere on the card. A Download option appears. Select that and you are prompted to either save the file or open it. If you open it, a .pdf file will open in a separate window. You can view its contents and even print it.
